RPLI default calculator version 1.01 for post offices

RPLI default fee calculator can be used by post offices to calculate the default fee to be collected for an RPLI policy by providing the premium amount and defaulted months details.

Features of the software:

>> The calculated default fee can be pasted directly in to point of sale by pressing control+v

>> Mouse free operation (tabs will switch between fields and enter will calculate)

>> 100% checking of inputs provided and popping out error messages whenever there is an input error.

>> This software will help while booking bulk RPLI transactions.



Prerequisites of the software are:

>> Microsoft dot net framework 2.0 (prerequisite of eMO software)


>> Microsoft dot net framework 4.0 client profile


>> Installer 3.1 (included in software package)


>> Windows imaging component  (included in software package)







 

KVP issue problem while linking agent in finacle - Solution

Since KVP was re introduced after implementing CBS there is an issue while issuing KVP which needs to be linked to an direct sales agent. To solve this issue the agents must be modified accordingly by adding KVP to their products list in FInacle. Steps to be followed for this is as follows
  • Invoke the menu HDSAMM in operator
  • In function select modify and type in DSA ID and GO
  • In the new screen go to PRODUCTS tab
  • Click add and slect KVN3, KVN4, KVN5, KVN6 seperately
  • And verify it using the same menu by supervisor
(NB : While adding KVP of each denomination select Pay Commission radio button to Yes, Payment Frequency to Daily, Holiday to Next Day, Subvention reversal credit place holder to 45089000 and Next commission date to current date)


Initial configuration of Epson PLQ 20 passbook printers

Initial configuration must be done for the newly supplied Epson PLQ20 model passbook printers to work. Without doing the configuration the printer will not even print the test page. So here are the steps that needs to be followed for configuriing the printer




  • Turn on the printer holding F1 and F2 buttons.
  • Insert an A4 size paper to the printer it will print the default language
  • Press F2 to confirm and F1 in case you need to change (The default language will be underlined)
  • The printer will ask you whether to print default settings or not, Press F1 to skip
  • Now it will show Common settings press F2 for Software settings and then press F1
  • Each settings will be displayed. Press F1 until it shows SOFTWARE
  • By default the softare will be of  EPSON press F2 to change it to IBM PPDS
  • After you see IBM PPDS press F1 again to show next settings
  • Now turn off the printer 

The printer will work fine now. For printing passbooks you need to configure PLQ20 printer in IBM generic graphics 9 pin wide driver.
